£251.4m Barings european growth trust shows improved returns
under three years the £251.4m Baring European Growth Trust has had a volatile time not only in performance terms. Now with Jan Mantel at the helm of it and pan-European equities at the group, the short-term performance appears to have been turned around. The once flagship fund was resting at the bottom of the sector, its three year figures to 30 January 2002 reveal that the fund is ranked 87 out of 89 funds in the Europe ex-UK sector, returning negative growth figures of -23.8% on an offer to bid basis.
