Global growth Ruffer Investment Company could more than double in size if its C-share offer, made barely a year after it was launched, is successful. The Guernsey-domiciled closed-ended company raised £50m in July last year and is seeking another £75m. Managed by Ruffer LLP chief executive Jonathan Ruffer and head of research Steve Russell, it eschews the standard index-related targets of its peers by seeking a total return of at least twice the Bank of England base rate.
