The complaints procedure for National Savings & Investments (NS&I) is to come under the jurisdiction of the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). As its products are not regulated by the FSA, NS&I is under the voluntary element of the FOS regime, rather than the mandatory side for regulated products. At present, complaints about NS&I products either go to an independent adjudicator if concerning contractual matters or the parliamentary ombudsman for maladministration issues.
