Scottish Amicable Asset Management (SEAM) was aiming to enhance its investment performance through a secured internet project. The group planned to establish an intranet to link its Edinburgh office to those of its parent company Aegon in Cedar Rapids in the US and The Hague in Holland. The aim of the link up was to enable the sharing of research, which was expected to enhance performance through its investment products.
