Equity managers at New Star, Rathbones and Rensburg remain keen on the gaming sector despite its slump last week. The arrest in the US of David Carruthers, chief executive of BetonSports, on racketeering charges caused the UK-listed firm to cease trading while the share price of others plummeted on the back of the news. SportingBet saw its price fall by almost 50% over the course of the week.
