Fidelity was to offer 256 funds from 14 different fund management groups when it launched its internet supermarket FundsNetwork. Intermediaries were able to select any number of funds from the various groups to construct a single Isa for their clients. However, switching between the fund groups incurred a charge and switching between funds within the same company cost the client 0.25% plus commission. The group said the pricing structure of the supermarket would be neutral and advisers would get the same commission as if they had gone to the fund company direct.
