Skandia has seen more than double the level of inflows into its structured product range this year as a result of investor nervousness. It said inflows into its Protected Portfolio Investment fund increased 152% in the first quarter of 2008, compared to the same period last year. The group claims structured products need not just be used during bear markets, claiming opportunities for investment growth can be exploited while giving reassurance over capital protection.
