F&C Investments has named Stefan Bain as director of Japanese equities. Bain was previously at Royal London Asset Management, running Japanese equities for pension, life and retail funds. Jamie Jenkins, head of Japanese equities at F&C, said the ten-strong F&C Pacific Equities desk now has four investment professionals focused exclusively on Japanese equities. Bain will focus on benchmark plus institutional portfolios and contribute to stock selection on the range of high alpha products.
