Charlemagne Capital is adding a sterling share class to its Magna Africa fund from 24 September, in response to investor demand. The sterling B shares will also have UK distributor status. They will stand alongside the existing euro and US dollar share classes. Magna Africa launched on 23 March this year and now has $120m under management. It aims for capital growth by investing in securities across Africa, with the majority of holdings in Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt.
