Tim Guinness is launching an onshore mirror of his Alternative Energy fund which is currently only available in the US. Sitting in the Specialist sector and domiciled in Dublin, the fund will be a complete replica of the vehicle run by Guinness Asset Management’s sister company Guinness Atkinson Asset Management in the States. Like the offshore version, it will have 45 stocks holding exposure to global companies that invest in solar power, wind power, hydropower, energy efficiency, geothermal power, fuelcells, biofuels, biomass energy and wave and tidal power.
