Blue Oar’s asset management division has hired Adrian Akers to run the second fund in its range, a European long short product. Investment Week reported in March that the Aim-listed investment bank was to set up an asset management arm, headed up by former Matrix manager John Rosier. Rosier is to run the group’s first fund, UK Mid Cap Unique Companies, which has been authorised by the FSA to launch at the end of this month.
