BDO Stoy Hayward multi-manager Sharon Segal has slashed her UK equity weighting on the £95m Fitzwilliam Balanced Growth fund to its lowest ever level. She also has around 28% in non-equity assets including fixed income and cash, the highest it has been in the fund’s 13-year history. “When I took over the fund in 2004, a large proportion of its 65% UK equity weighting was in Fidelity Special Situations, and I have been reducing it ever since.” At present the weighting is at 40%, with top UK holdings including Rensburg UK Select Growth at 8.4%, Artemis UK Special Situations at 8.3% and B...
