Amr Seif has left JP Morgan to join Investec as a portfolio manager covering North African and Middle Eastern markets. Seif spent 10 years with JP Morgan specialising in Egypt and Turkey and also working in the European equity team for two years from 2002. At the end of his tenure he managed $1.5bn in Middle Eastern and Central European funds and co-managed over £3.5bn of other emerging Europe portfolios. He will join Investec’s Frontier Investing team, based in London, reporting to Domenico Ferrini, investments director.
