Quick-fire interview with GAM multi-asset head: Why equity rotation is the name of the game and the impact of a Trump presidency

Larry Hatheway, GAM group head of Multi-Asset Portfolio Solutions and group chief economist, talks to editor Katrina Lloyd about the challenges of effective diversification in these markets, and where he is finding opportunities.

Prior to joining GAM in September 2015, Hatheway was managing director and chief economist at UBS Investment Bank. He was UBS's global head of macro strategy from 2008 to 2012 and global head of asset allocation from 2000 to 2012. He was also UBS's global head of fixed income and currency strategy. Before UBS, he held roles at the Federal Reserve, Citibank and Manufacturers Hanover Trust. Hatheway holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Texas, a MA from the Johns Hopkins University, and a BA from Whitman College.
