As the UK Select Growth Trust hits its third anniversary, manager Mark Hall looks for opportunities among small and mid caps
The Rensburg UK Select Growth Trust, which changed its name from the BWD UK Aggressive Growth Trust on 1 June 2004, has always rejected higher risk levels. The trust's investment objective, to produce a total return in excess of that achieved by the FTSE All-Share index, is unchanged. Rather, Rensburg believes some smaller IFAs were finding resistance to the aggressive label by investors associating it with the type of markets prevalent in 1999/2000.
