artemis UK growth's Adrian Paterson stresses the importance of a long-term investment vieW

Artemis UK Growth fund manager Adrian Paterson is running with a single strong theme in his portfolio, reflected in a 15.6% exposure to the oil and gas sector. His holdings include such companies as Shell, BP, Cairn, Premier and Regal Petroleum. Paterson said: "There is big demand from Asia for oil but unlike other commodities, there are supply concerns. Oil comes from pretty unpalatable parts of the world, the Middle East, Nigeria, Venezuela, Russia and, for this reason, there is a supply issue problem that will not go away tomorrow.
