The details of the GDP report were stronger than suggested by the headline number with both services and manufacturing growing at a good rate. Although the economy may be a little stronger than suggested by the GDP report, the recovery is only proceeding at a modest pace, with some of the growth in 2011 Q1 payback from the weather induced weakness at the end of 2010.
