Eurozone bonds have faced difficult conditions over the last few months. Now the markets are braced for a summer issuance drought, which looks set to generate fresh price swings as the European Central Bank (ECB) presses ahead with its bond-buying plan. This should perhaps come as no surprise given the size of the ECB's quantitative easing programme which began in March, and will inject around €60bn a month into the European economy until September 2016.
