ClearBridge US Appreciation manager sees value of keeping longer-term view, citing tradition and growth fundamentals as key to performance
ClearBridge US Appreciation fund has returned 9.98% against the S&P 500's -11.01% this year to 31 March. The $35.4m vehicle, which is part of Legg Mason's global suite of funds domiciled in Dublin, is managed on a team-led basis, co-headed by Scott Glasser. It is invested largely in medium- to larger-cap US companies with the aim of generating steady rates of return with low risk over a five-year cycle.
