Top of table Global Growth performers have done well by maintaining defensive stance
Top-performing global growth managers say they are staying defensive but looking for value opportunities. One of the strongest performers is the Amity International fund, run by Ecclesiastical. Manager Robin Hepworth has done well out of opportunities in Chinese shares over the last two years. The eight China shares he owns doubled in 2006 and then again in 2007. "The Asia story is still going," says Hepworth. "It is evident China will survive the downturn, although I would not rule out a contraction in GDP."
