Franklin Templeton's US Opps manager confident over long-term performance despite poor six months, believing growth stocks will lead market out of downturn
Franklin Templeton's US Opportunities fund has struggled over the last six months, due to its skew towards out of favour growth stocks, according to manager Grant Bowers. He remains confident in the fund's ability to deliver over the long term, citing his view that growth companies will eventually lead the US out of its current economic downturn. The Sicav has lost 10.3% over six months to 29 February, compared to the peer group average of -7.14%.
