Multi-asset vehicles are winning out among peers

Midas and Miton portfolios are heading Cautious Managed sector, although many traditional equity and bond products are also outperforming

Funds with a diverse mix of asset classes are sitting at the top of the Cautious Managed sector over three years. The best performer over three years to end March 2007 was Midas Balanced Income, which invests in property, alternative assets and structured products as well as a more traditional blend of equities and fixed interest. Third-highest in the sector on a bid-to-bid basis was CF Miton Cautious Income, which has a 20% weighting in structured products and property in its portfolio.
