European Alpha manager Wiseman has diversified portfolio and moved out of small caps as market conditions have become more difficult

Insight's £89m European Alpha fund is about to enjoy a £10m influx of assets as the group merges the vehicle with part of the larger European Equity portfolio. European Equity is an old Clerical Medical portfolio that has £570m in assets, with both run by Richard Wiseman and Iain McNeill While the sector weightings and top holdings are similar across both portfolios, the Alpha offering is a more aggressive mandate in line with Insight's focus on active management.
