Ahead of International Women's Day, Katrina Lloyd, editor-in-chief of Investment Week, speaks to Omotunde Lawal, head of emerging markets corporate debt at Barings and winner of Investment Woman of the Year (large firms) at the Women in Investment Awards 2023.

Commenting on Omotunde's achievements, last year's judging panel said "she is focused and impressive, with a clear commitment to exactly what this award is about, including helping develop the next generation of black female fund managers". Here, Omotunde discusses her career highlights, what she has learnt in her role as a fund manager, and her commitment to supporting the next generation of talent in the investment industry.  Omotunde also reveals what it felt like to win a Women in Investment Award and why she would encourage women to enter this year.
