Amber Rolt is an award-winning journalist providing news, features, and analysis for BusinessGreen and in-depth whitepapers for BusinessGreen Intelligence. 

She is particularly interested in the circular economy, decarbonising the built environment, the role of clean tech, and nature restoration and recovery. 

Amber has been covering environmental topics for BusinessGreen since 2023 and has a career as a business correspondent spanning over a decade. She has previously covered property, hospitality, retail and leisure, and the music industry. 

In 2015 she won ‘New journalist of the year’ at the IBP awards and ‘Newcomer of the year’ at the LSL Property Press Awards. And in 2017 she was named as a winner at MHP Group’s ‘Young Journalist Awards: 30 To Watch’.   

Amber holds a MA in journalism from City University, London, and a BA in Spanish from the University of Bristol.
