IA broadens definition of UK and European smaller companies sectors

The Investment Association has altered the definitions of its UK and European smaller companies sectors, broadening the scope of qualifying funds.

Following a review across each of its smaller companies sectors, the industry body opted to shift the market capitalisation brackets for UK and European funds, while the IA Japanese Smaller Companies sector was closed in September 2023, and no change has been applied to the North American iteration.
