For disadvantaged children, Christmas is a very difficult time. For children caring for a sick relative, living in poverty, or suffering from abuse or neglect, Christmas can throw their stress and unhappiness into sharp relief, making a magical time of year miserable. CHICKS is a national children's charity dedicated to providing free respite breaks for disadvantaged children from across the UK.
