M&G has appointed James Tomlins from Cazenove Capital Management to join its fixed income team on 20 June.

The £572m M&G Asian fund has delivered top-quartile performance over three years, returning an impressive 32.7% versus the Asia Pacific ex Japan sector average of 26%.

M&G has grown its operating profit to £284m in 2010 despite a decline in net inflows.
