Hargreaves Lansdown adds five VCTs to client offering ahead of tax year deadline

Five venture capital trusts (VCTs) have been added to Hargreaves Lansdown’s existing offering ahead of the end of the tax year, taking the total number of VCTs available to HL clients to 14.

Strategies from Beringea, Puma Investments, Guinness Ventures, Fuel Ventures and Praetura Investments have now joined the platform's current VCT universe, which includes trusts from Octopus Investments, Calculus and Blackfinch Ventures.  According to HL, since the inception of VCTs three decades ago, the vehicles have generated £41bn of investment, with the government extending the scheme for a further ten years.
