I recently spoke at a dinner for pension fund investors where, ironically and amusingly, I was the warm-up act before the last presidential debate.
For my interest and some fun, I asked for a show of hands on who expected Obama or Romney to win, and who they wanted to be the winner. On the actual outcome, the audience was split 50/50. On who they preferred, it was 75% to 25% in Romney’s favour, a stronger leaning than I expected from this group but not entirely a surprise.
