Ashburton to launch sterling share class on India fund

Ashburton Investments is set to unveil a new sterling share class for its US dollar-denominated India Equity Opportunities fund.

The $70.9m product is domiciled in Luxembourg and co-managed by Jonathan Schiessl and Simon Finch. It is run with a high conviction buy and hold strategy, investing in 25-30 stocks across market caps, with 42% currently allocated to mid- and small-cap names. Matthew Kemp, head of UK wholesale, said: "We have a top-performing fund and we are launching the sterling share class in direct response to client interest within the UK wholesale market.
