Wilson exits Investec following sales review

Charlie Wilson, former head of UK retail at Investec Asset Managament, has left the firm following a review of its sales business.

Wilson, who joined from Lazard Asset Management in 2010, was initially hired to head up the fund house's UK retail business. However, in 2013 his role changed to that of sales director covering London clients, as well as co-ordinator of the group's sales approach to global financial institutions. It is understood this latter role will now be covered by five regional directors. Meanwhile David Aird (pictured), UK managing director, will take on Wilson's London sales responsibilities.
