SLI's GARS hits £25bn mark

The UK retail version of Standard Life Investments' flagship Global Absolute Return Strategies (GARS) fund has reached £25bn in assets for the first time.

GARS stood at £24.9bn in size at the end of February, according to Morningstar, and has reached the £25bn mark this month - though the overall strategy is more than £10bn larger due to institutional and non-UK mandates. The fund continued to be one of the most popular in the UK retail market last year, sitting near the top of the inflow tables, despite the high profile departure of core team member Euan Munro in 2013.
