JOHCM plans multi-asset launch after pension reforms

JO Hambro Capital Management is considering rolling out a multi-asset range as it looks to benefit from pension reforms, its chief executive has said.

JOHCM’s offering is limited to equity funds at present, but CEO Gavin Rochussen (pictured) told Investment Week the group wants to respond to demand for solutions for retirees seeking income by potentially launching a multi-asset range. The plan is one of a number of potential fund launches under discussion at the boutique. “There is a move from a savings mentality to one that relies on yields. We are looking at ways of managing equities for retiring people who need a more guaranteed income. This links into the idea that pensioners no longer need to take out an annuity,” Rochussen said. ...
