M&G's Aldridge to step back from retail fund management

M&G has reshuffled managers on its Global Growth and European equity portfolios in order to allow manager Greg Aldridge to focus on institutional mandates.

The group's John William Olsen, who joined from Danske Capital earlier this year, will take over management of the £858m Global Growth and £206m Pan European funds from Aldridge on 1 July, subject to regulatory approval. Charles Anniss, currently co-manager of the Pan-European portfolio, will become deputy manager on both funds as of the same date. Anniss will also become sole manager of the £184m European fund he currently manages with Aldridge (pictured), and will retain responsibility for the £131m European Smaller Companies fund.
