PIMCO combats interest rate concerns with credit portfolio

PIMCO has launched a credit fund aimed at investors concerned about rising interest rates.

The PIMCO Global Investor Series (GIS) Diversified Income Duration Hedged fund, managed by executive vice president Eve Tournier, invests across a range of fixed income sectors, including high yield, investment grade, EMD, asset-backed securities and municipal bonds. The manager will try to minimise interest rate risk by focusing on floating and variable rate securities, short duration bonds and derivatives.
