SIG unveils Asian Equity fund

Skandia Investment Group (SIG) has launched the Skandia Asian Equity fund for high conviction asset manager MIR.

The fund aims to offer exposure to significant growth opportunities SIG sees in the Asian market in the medium to long term. MIR already runs the Asian equity part of the Skandia Global Dynamic Equity fund. The group says it has selected MIR for the new portfolio because of the success of its combined quantitative and qualitative investment approach. It focuses on stocks with both value and momentum characteristics to produce a diversified portfolio of approximately 60 to 100 Asian (ex Japanese) stocks.
