IMA to list offshore funds from 1 April

Up to 180 offshore funds will be listed in IMA sectors from 1 April, with the majority already admitted set to reside in the Specialist category.

In the first phase, 71 funds have been admitted, with a further 89 pending approval. Of the funds already approved, 36 will sit in the Specialist sector, while the Asia Pacific ex Japan, Europe inc UK and Global Bonds classifications gain six new funds each. The new Specialist funds include five Latin America mandates, four India funds and three Russia offerings - in addition to Korea, Africa and Mena vehicles.
