Fellingham joins Ignis as fixed income CIO

Ignis Asset Management has appointed Chris Fellingham as chief investment officer, fixed income.

Fellingham, who joins from Soros Fund Management, will take overall responsibility for the company's £50bn of fixed income assets and become a member of the Ignis board. Peter Reid remains CIO responsible for all other asset classes. Prior to joining Soros in 2008, Fellingham spent 12 years at BlackRock, Merrill Lynch and Mercury Asset Management - where he was head of the London-based fixed income teams.
