Chancery and Prescience Film Finance are launching an EIS investing in the international film industry and offering the usual tax benefits. Prescience Pictures will invest in film or television projects that meet strict commercial criteria and will then take part in their co-production. It also aims to maximise the benefits of the new UK film tax credit on qualifying productions. If the venture qualifies, EIS investors can potentially receive income tax relief of 20% on the subscription, up to a maximum of £400,000.
