Hans Peter Gerhardt is joining Axa Re as chief executive officer on 1 May. Since 1998 he has been director and executive vice president of General Re Corp and, since 2001, vice chairman of the board of executive directors of Cologne Re. In his new role he will report directly to Axa CEO Henri de Castries.
