Former F&C sales director Philip Childs has joined Ashburton to launch it into the UK market. Ashburton, based in Jersey and owned by South African bank First Rand Group, has five Jersey-domiciled funds that can be sold into the UK. Childs, who launched F&C's Blue and With-Prospects funds before joining investment trust specialist Iimia, is reviewing the fund range to see what changes would appeal to an onshore audience.
