Managing director Rupert Tyer has left Lazards after eight years with the group. A spokesman for Lazards said a replacement is currently being sought but would not confirm whether this would be an internal or external appointment. Last month, William von Mueffling, managing director of Lazards' New York based hedge fund business also left the group. Lazard Asset Management in the UK has £700m in assets under management.
