Bupa is to buy two expatriate health insurance companies Amedex Insurance and International Health Insurance Danmark (IHI). Dean Holden, managing director of Bupa's international business, said: "More than a third of Bupa's business now comes from its international operations. Amedex and IHI have excellent reputations and we believe they will complement our existing expatriate business Bupa International.
