Former First State bond manager Malcolm White is to take on more than £2bn in retail fund mandates at Legal & General from 1 January. From the start of the New Year, White is to take over as lead manager of the £1.2bn Legal & General Fixed Interest trust from Stuart Steven as well as the £965m L&G Managed Income fund from Robert Barnard-Smith. In addition he will manage Barnard-Smith's £113m Managed Monthly Income portfolio.
