A Tory MP hopes his bid to relax rules on pension annuities will influence the policy of a future Conservative government. Adrian Flook's Private Members Bill, which would end the requirement for pensioners to buy an annuity when they reach 75, is to be discussed in the House of Commons on 26 March. Although the bill is backed by the Liberal Democrats and some Labour backbenchers, it is unlikely to progress unless it receives government support.
