Aberdeen has gained an additional VCT mandate after the Talisman First VCT followed its manager Stella Panu to the house. The vehicle's assets have dwindled from £5.3m to £3m since it was launched in 2000. The trust initially focused on early stage companies before later taking on Aim-listed stocks. Since Panu took over the management of the VCT three years ago she has sought to develop a more mainstream generalist portfolio. She will continue this development of the portfolio at Aberdeen, which she joined in January, where she hopes the VCT will have better access to deal flow.
