At the request of Alistair Darling, secretary of state for work and pensions, the pension provision group (PPG) produced two final reports before it ceased to exist. Entitled Pension provision and self-employment and Pensions and the labour market, they were published on 5 December 2001 and are available on the department for work and pensions website at www.dwp.gov.uk/publications/2001/index. htm.
