Distribution bonds are holding an average equity exposure of 46%, according to research from intermediary group Chartwell. This figure is relatively unchanged from the 1999 and 2000 figures, 48% and 46% respectively, when there were 15 bonds on the market from 13 providers. Eleven such products are currently on the market from nine providers, with Axa's Distribution Bond the oldest and largest.
