Global property markets have fallen heavily over the last year as investors became increasingly concerned about global inflation and tighter credit conditions. Pressure is building on central banks to raise interest rates. In the UK, the negative knock-on effect on the real estate sector has seen property stocks retreat to levels below the recent lows of December 2007. However, despite low levels of confidence we are positive on the outlook for the sector and believe that bearish sentiment has been overdone.
